Question

What is the value of x?

It is an equilateral triangle, 3 sides and 3 equal angles (60°)

angle n = angle m

11y + 5 = 60

11y = 55

y = 55 : 11

y = 5

--------------

check

11 * 5 + 5 = 60°

the answer is good

Answer:

Required result:
x=(190)/(21)

Explanation:

We have been given an equilateral triangle.

Angles opposite to equal sides are equal

7x-3=11y+5

\Rightarrow 7x-11y=8 (1)

And sum of angles in a triangle is 180.

7x-3+11y+5+7x-3=180

\Rightarrow 14x+11y-1=180

\Rightarrow 14x+11y=182 (2)

On solving (1) and (2) by adding two equations we get:

21x=190

x=(190)/(21)
