The temperature started at 89°F. If the temperature went up 6°F and then down 12°F, whats is the temperature difference relative to the high temperature?

The is a 6 degree temperature change because 89+6-12=83 and 89-83=6

89 degrees plus 6, minus 12, equals 83. This means that the temperature change would be 89 - 83, which equals 6. There is a 6 degree temperature change.
