What do you predict will happen in two weeks time to seedling (A)? The stem will curl down, and the root will curl up. The leaves will curl down, and the stem will curl up. The root will curl down, and the stem will curl up. The root will curl up, and the stem will curl down.

Answer:

In "two weeks time to seedling", the root will curl down, and the stem will curl up.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • In normal tropical climate, the seeding time for a healthy seed is less than two weeks.
  • With regular and optimum watering after sowing the seed, curling up of the stem and curling down of the roots would naturally happen within two weeks of time.
  • The curling time of the stem and the roots also depends on how deep inside the soil has the seed been sown.

Option C , The root will curl down, and the stem will curl up

When moisture is given to seed , the root with in the sapling , already in curl shape look for more moisture which is available in soil and thus it starts moving down. while stem looks for warmth and air and thus travels up
