the domain of y=log5^x

Given
y=log(5^x)

Domain is the set of x values for which the function is defined

Logarithm is defined only for positive arguments

While calculating domain of a log function we write argument of log >0

so we set 5^x >0

5^x is greater than 0 always

5^x is always positive for positive and negative values for x

There is no restriction for x

Hence domain is set of all real numbers.
