Even though this two laws have very different contexts and are in general very different, they do have something in common: the fact that they defend the most basic human rights, to ensure a person, or group of people can fully enjoy their liberty.

We can understand liberty as a state of freedom in a society, from any restrictions imposed by any form of authority on a person's behavior, ideologies, or human rights.
