potential is equal to mgh

we know that mass = 1220 kg

g=9.8 0r 10

400=1220*9.8*x

400=11956x

x=400/11956

Answer:

height = 3.2 meters (approximately)

Step-by-step explanation:

Potential energy is usually defined as the amount of energy that is stored in an object by virtue of its position. It is denoted by P.E.

Mathematically,

⇒ P.E = mass × gravity × height

Given that,

P.E = 400 J

Mass, m = 1220 kg

Gravity can be taken as, g = 9.8 m/sec²

⇒ 400 = 1220 × 9.8 × height

⇒ Height = 400 ÷ (1220 × 9.8)

⇒ Height = 400 ÷ 124.5

⇒ Height = 3.2 meters
