1/4(8-4p) +2p = 12

Distribute the 1/4

2 - p + 2p = 12

Combine the p's

2 + p = 12

Subtract 2 from each side

2 - 2 + p = 12 - 2

0 + p = 10

p = 10

The answer is D. 10

So,

(1)/(4)(8-4p)+2p=12

Distribute.

2 - p + 2p = 12

Simplify.

2 + p = 12

Subtract 2 from both sides.

p = 10

The correct answer is D.
