2 | 3x - 1 | = 10 - 2

2 | 3x - 1 | = 8

(Divide both sides by 2)

| 3x - 1 | = 4

(Rewrite as two separate equations and solve)

3x - 1 = 4 ----> x= 5/3

3x - 1 = - 4 ----> x= -1

x1 = -1 // x2= 5/3

2 |3x-1| + 2 = 10

2 |3x - 1| = 10 - 2 = 8

|3x + 1| = 4

3x + 1 = 4 or 3x + 1 = -4

3x = 3 giving x = 1 or 3x = -5 giving x = -5/3

Answer:- x = 1 , -5/3.
