A curandero is a native healer that could be found in regions of the United States (Texas), South America (for example, Mexico) or Southern Europe. These people usually enjoy the respect of their community and it is believed that they have been blessed with supernatural powers. These curanderos administer remedies to help people who suffer from physical, mentual or emotional types of illnesses.
They use natural resources such as herbs, massages, mud, etc., or even rituals which involve deities or spirits.
