1. Alcohol use is related to motor vehicle accidents because unfortunately some people think it’s a good idea to drink and drive which is not safe. Stricter penalties is definitely a good start to trying to decrease the number of people who drive after drinking. Random check points is an okay idea, although it could come to the point where it gets unnecessary.
2. Portrayals of smoking by the media have changed in the last twenty-five years because I feel like back then, it was more normal and a lot of people did it. Now, it is often frowned upon.
3. Society promotes the use of caffeine because it is a “cool” thing to drink and “everyone” drinks it. There is rarely a commercial where people talk about the cons of caffeine.
