Would starving yourself for a week make you lose weight or gain weight? If you were to work out (such as running) would that make you lose weight faster? (When I mean starving I mean 1,000 calories or less.)

Th answer to:(Would starving yourself for a week make you lose weight or gain weight?)

The body cannot adapt from dropping to an ultra-low caloric intake to lose weight and return to a higher caloric intake to maintain the weight loss. The body will store the extra calories as fat. ... Starving to lose weight makes your body more likely, in the long-run, to replenish fat. So no it would not make you lose weight it would help you gain it.

The safest weight loss is around 1 pound per week if you weigh under 150 pounds, and 1 to 2 pounds per week if you weigh over 150 pounds. This will be a 500-calorie-per-day deficit through a combination of exercise and cutting calories.Yes, it would help you lose weight, but only if eat healthy, light meals. Because if you eat huge fattening foods it would do nothing at all.

I hope that I could help you

Starving your self will certainly make you lose weight faster. But don't starve yourself because it is very unhealthy and dangerous.
