C is a check that the Legislative Branch has on the Judicial Branch.

In the rare instance in which a member of the Judicial Branch has acted improperly, the Legislative branch is responsible for impeaching that Judge.

The Legislative branch in the form of the US Senate also has the power to advise and consent to the Presidents nominations for Judges and can confirm those Presidential appointments, or decline them.
