Even though most vaccines contain a pathogen a person who has received a vaccine usually does not get sick why not?

Because your body’s immune system know what that virus look like and knows how to fight it off if you got the vaccine

It’s also depends on how healthy you are and if you have a very strong immune system it will fight the pathogen
