The equation of a straight line that passes through a point [x1 , y1} and having a slope ‘m’ is given by (y - y1) = m (x - x1)

Given m = 4 and point ( 1,6), then the equation of the line is

(y-6) = 4 (x-1) i.e, y - 6 = 4x - 4

i.e, 4x -y -4+6 =0 i.e, 4x - y = - 2 or 4x-y+2 = 0
