I have looked upon those brilliant creatures,

And now my heart is sore.
All’s changed since I, hearing at twilight,
The first time on this shore,
The bell-beat of their wings above my head,
Trod with a lighter tread.

Based on the excerpt from “The Wild Swans at Coole,” what can you infer about how William Butler Yeats views time?

Based on the excerpt from "The Wild Swans at Coole" we can infer that William Butler Yeats views time as a kind friend (C). He states that "All's changed" and that his "heart is sore", showing that he recognizes that time has passed and things in his life has changed. But, he is at the same shore and the swans stay the same. They are his comfort.
