Greetings!
With this, 10.25 + 2.25 ≥ 20, you need to put the 2.25c by itself. To do this you simply move the positive 10.25 over to the other side and make it a negative:
2.25 ≥ 20 - 10.25
Or:
2.25 ≥ 9.75
This now means you can divide the 9.75 by the 2.25 and round the number to the lowest whole number because you cannot have fractions of box candy:
9.75 ÷ 2.25 = 4.33 ≈ 4
So A is correct, because Lacey can buy 2 boxes and isn't the lowest nor highest she can get but also D is correct because the maximum boxes she can buy is 4.
