Beth is paid $225 per week plus a commission of $20 per sale. This week she wants to earn at least $650. If s represents the minimum number of sales that Sara needs this week, which inequality represents all the possible values of s?

Answer:

s ≥ 21.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Beth's weekly payment consists of two parts:

fixed amount = $225

variable amount = $20 per sale

We can write the equation representing her weekly payment as follows:

P = 225 + 20s where P is the total weekly payment and s is the number of sales

Now, we are given that she wants to make at least $650 this week. This means that her payment this week should be equal to or more than $650

We can write the inequality as follows:

225 + 20s ≥ 650

Now, we can easily solve for s as follows:

20s ≥ 650 - 225

20s ≥ 425

s ≥ 21.25

This means that to make at least $650 in the week, the amount of her sales should be at least $21.25

Hope this helps :)
