Read the first line of a character analysis for White Fang. White Fang is suspicious of the humans he meets, but he is impressed by their strength. Which direct quote from the text could best be used as supporting evidence? "He waited. Nothing happened. Then he smelled the strange fabric, saturated with the man-smell." "He came upon one of the man-animals, Gray Beaver, who was squatting on his hams and doing something with sticks . . ." "He did not like it. Nor did he like it when the man-animals arose and went on with their march . . ." "He appreciated the power with which they administered the law. Unlike any animals he had ever encountered, they did not bite nor claw."

i would say, "He appreciated the power with which they administered the law. Unlike any animals he had ever encountered, they did not bite nor claw." as it provides a hesitance, to like humans.

i could be wrong, but i hope this helped!
