Slope is the change in y and x values. Also known as the rise (y value) over run (x value). Slope = Change in y values divided by change in x values. A graph that goes up by 3 units and to the right 2 units would have a slope of 3/2. A graph that goes down 1 for every 4 x units would have a slope of -1/4. A graph that goes up 4 and to the left 1 would have a slope of 4/-1 or -4. Hope this helps!

Slope is a measure of how steep a line on a graph is. You find slope by using a formula to find it (y2-y1/x2-x1) or by finding the rise over run of the line by analyzing the graph.
