Since you're dividing 4 from another number, getting 9, you have to use the opposite operation, which is multiplication, so the equation is gonna be 4×9. The answer would be 36, and if you plug it into the box, 36÷4=9

So you can look at it like this:

(x)/(4) = 9

x representing the number you need to find. To find "x", you can multiply 4 on both sides to get "x" by itself.

(x)/(4) = 9

x = 36

36 makes the equation true
