Simone needs to graph the equation y=2x-5. She says that she should start graphing at the y-intercept (0,-5) and then draw a line with a slope of 2. Is someone correct?

Yes, -5 is where you would start and that is along the y int. The slope is a always times x In any equation. That is correct.
