or

x-y=3 ...(1)

y=-2x+6

2x+y=6 ...(2)

(1)+1(2) gives

3x=9

x=9/3=3

y=3-3=0

-x+5y=18 ...(1)

x+4y=9 ...(2)

(1)+1(2) gives

9y=27

y=27/9=3

x+4(3)=9

x=9-12=-3

3x+5y=-72 ...(1)

2x+3y=-45

2(1)-3(2) gives

6x+10y-6x-9y=-144+135

y=-9

2x+3(-9)=-45

2x=-45+27=-18
