how would i do this? find the perimeter of a rectangle if three of its verticles are (5,-3),(-3,-2)and(-3,3)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2√65 + 10

Explanation:

From the attached graph, we can find that:

Points (-3,3) and (-3,-2) represents the width of rectangle.

And points (-3,-2)and (5,-3) represents the length of rectangle.

Now, By using distance formula we can find the length and width of rectangle.

Length = √ ((5-(-3))² + (-3 -(-2))²) = √( 8² + 1²) = √ 65

Width = √((-3 -(-3))²+(-2-3)²) = √(0² + 5²) = 5

so perimeter of rectangle will be:

Perimeter = 2(Length + width)

Perimeter = 2( √65 + 5)

Perimeter = 2√65 + 10
