“Good will always prevails over evil”. The story “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” is, perhaps, one of the best examples of this statement. Despite the fact that Mr Hyde was considered a “self-destroyer”, still kept deep inside him goodness.
…”papers neatly set forth on the business table, and nearer the fire, the things laid out for tea; the quietest room…”
...”Utterson knew that he was looking on the body of a self-destroyer…”
These two scenes are very contradictory. The first one describes a quiet room, everything perfectly settled, very contrary to the other scene where Mr Hyde is laying. A self-destroyer, that provides a peaceful place.
