Leonardo de Vinci was one of the outstanding artists in the Renaissance, a new period after the middle ages. The king Francis I invited Leonardo de Vinci to join his court as a royal honor member. Leonardo de Vinci was living in a town called Amboise in France. Leonardo was well-known as a great painter, sculptor and architect. The king Francis I respected his talent for this reason he asked to develop important projects. For example, Leonard designed the castle in Romorantin in 1517.
