Hi there!

Here are all the steps into solving this equation for "y" :

(7-y)/(<u>5</u>) = (3)/(4)

Multiply each side of the equation by 5 → (3/4) × 5 = 3.75

7 - y = 3.75

Add "y" to each side of the equation → 3.75 + y = 3.75 + y

7 = 3.75 + y

Subtract 3.75 from each side of the equation → 7 - 3.75 = 3.25

3.25 = y

OR

3(1)/(4) = y

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)
