(1)/(3)(6x+9)=12

In this equation here we want to cancel out the "1/3", and this can be done by multiplying both sides by "3", since we can multiply the 1/3 by 3 on the left side and that just gives us 3/3 or 1, which doesn't change the value

We have to do this on both sides to remain equality and this gives us the equation


6x+9=36

Now from here just subtract 9 from both sides to cancel out the +9


6x=27\\x=(27)/(6)
