Jorell is incorrect, because converting 18 out of 40 shots into a fraction is 18/40. In order to determine the percentage of shots which Jorell made, you can divide the two numbers. 18 divided by 40 is equal to .45. To convert .45 into a percentage, move the decimal over twice. Therefore, Jorell made 45% of the shots and not 40%.
