slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

m = slope

b = y-intercept

In this paper, identify the different parts of slope-intercept form.

For example, 1) m = 1 / y-intercept = 5, 2) m = 3 / y-intercept = 6, etc.

y-intercept is number in the equation that is not next to a variable.

For example in the first problem:

y = x + 5

Since x is alone, this means that the slope is 1.

The y-intercept is 5.

The equation is already in slope-intercept form.

Slope intercept form is y = mx + b.

m is slope and b is y intercept.
