The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have the slope m = 2 →
y=2x+b

and point (6, 9). Substitute:

9=2(6)+b

9=12+b sunbract 12 from both sides

-3=b\to b=-3

Answer: y = 2x - 3
