h = price of a hamburger

d = price of a drink

\bf \begin{cases} 2h+d=5\\ \boxed{d}=5-2h\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ h+2d=3.25 \end{cases}~\hspace{5em}h+2\left(\boxed{5-2h} \right)=3.25 \\\\\\ h+10-4h=3.25\implies -3h=-6.75\implies h=\cfrac{-6.75}{-3}\implies \blacktriangleright h=2.25 \blacktriangleleft \\\\\\ \stackrel{\textit{since we know that h = 2.25 therefore}}{\boxed{d}=5-2(2.25)}\implies \blacktriangleright d=0.5 \blacktriangleleft
