This battle was fought on July 3, 1754. Also known as the Battle of the Great Meadows it was fought in Farmington, Pennsylvania. This battle represented the beginning of the French and Indian War (1754-1763) which later became the SeveyYears War ( 1756-1763), in which other European powers participated.
