What is the least common multiple of 4 and 6?

The least common multiple is the least positive number that two or more numbers can be divided into without a remainder. To find it you would list the multiples for the number that is given so to answer your question the least common multiple for 4 and 6 is 12

Explanation: First you list the multiples of the given number so for this question the numbers are 4 and 6 well the multiples of six are 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36.....etc..... Now the multiples for 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24....and so on.... the common multiples for those are 12 and 24 the least common is 12 it is the lowest common multiple for 6 and 4 i hope my answer helped you :)

4 = 2*2

6=3*2

Multiply each factor the greatest number of times it occurs in any of the numbers

LCM = 2*2*3

LCM = 12
