What is the area of a circle that has a circumference of 42 inches?

Circumference = 2πr = 42 in.
2πr = 42 in.
πr = 21
r =
21 * (7)/(22) = (147)/(22) = 6.68 \:in.

Area = πr²
π*6.68²
π*44.62
= 140.24 inches²

Answer will be C. 140.4 in.² as it is very close to our answer.

c is the answer because 42in circle is 140.37 rounded to the nearest tenth

is 140.4
