Question - Identify and briefly explain two reasons why many post classical Hindus in South Asia resisted conversion to Islam.

Answer - Well when you are hinduism everyone has to have religious pride. Hinduism a religion that is very difficult to get out of. Some may get lucky or never get out at all. They risited that the converions of Islam was rising because they both had very different life styles, and if someone converted from something they are used to it would be very hard.

one reason was that India was a large country, part of it like Assam never fell to Islamic invaders so Hindus in those regions did not convert. the other reason was that Islamic rule was not for an extended time period. Hindus under their own rule reverted back to Hinduism.
