Use PEMDAS

x² - 2x : x =

x² - 2 (your answer)

There is a GCF of x

You can factor it out by dividing everything by x

Now you have 0^2 - 2 ÷ 0

0^2 = 0 and 0 obviously = 0 so you are left with:

-2
