Usually, much of the destruction throughout earthquakes occur from flooding and fires created by damaged utilities. Gas channels or water pipes can be crushed throughout the earthquakes. Adjustable brackets in the blocks can protect them of damage and automated shut-off devices can be employed to prevent gas and water leakage.
