The ratio is 2:3 that is a total of 5 people

We now need to see how much groups of 5 we need to get to 40

5 × 8 = 40

So we have 8 groups of 5 that would make 40 students'

8 groups of 2:3 ⇒ 8 × (2:3)

(8 × 2) (8 × 3) = 16:24

There are 16 boys and 24 girls.

Then when you subtract 24 - 16, you would get 8.

There are 8 more girls than boys in the art club.
