Remember to use the proper number of significant figures and leading zeros in all calculations. Gelatin has a density of 1.27 g/cm³. If you have a blob of gelatin dessert that fills a 2.0 liter bottle, what is its mass? 2540 g 2500 g 3.9 x 10-4 3.937x 10-4

Answer : The mass of gelatin is 2500 g.

Solution : Given,

Density of gelatin =
1.27g/Cm^3

Volume = 2.0 L =
2.0* 10^3Cm^3
(1L=10^3Cm^3)

Formula used :

Density=(Mass)/(Volume)

By rearranging the formula.

Mass=Density* Volume

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get

Mass=(1.27g/Cm^3)* (2.0* 10^3Cm^3)=2.5* 10^3g=2500g

In case of multiplication, we take the least precise number of significant figure.

Therefore, the mass of gelatin is 2500 g.
