Scott wants to tip his taxi driver 20%. If his commute costs $15 why is the total cost?

So the first thing we do is convert 20% to a decimal ( which makes it easier to muiltiply )

20%=0.2

Then we muiltiply this by $15, to find how much we will tip the driver.

$15X0.2=$3

So we are tipping the driver $3

Finally, we are going to add the $15, which is the total price.

$15+$3=$18

I hope this helped!!
