for any fraction, a/b, the decimal form of it is simply the quotient of a ÷ b.

let's firstly convert the mixed fraction to improper fraction, then divide.

\bf \stackrel{mixed}{-2(5)/(22)}\implies -\cfrac{2\cdot 22+5}{22}\implies \stackrel{improper}{-\cfrac{47}{22}}\implies -47/ 22\implies \stackrel{\stackrel{decimal}{\downarrow }}{-2.1\overline{36}}
