Name 3 ways that the bill of rights protects someone accused of a crime

The eighth amendment provides for people accused of crimes it allows for a defendant to post bail so they don't have to remain in jail before and during a trial and it also bans cruel and unusual punishment against a person convicted of a crime. It protects their rights as citizens of the so they will not be treated unfairly.
