First, we should find the area of the circle. We know that the formula for this is
\pi r^2 and since pi = 3.14 in this case, our area would be 28.26.

The angle measure in this sector is 125°. We know that there are 360° in a circle, so set up the proportion
(125)/(360) which simplifies into
(5)/(12).

Now multiply the two:
5/12 * 28.26 = 11.775

And this rounded to the nearest tenth is 11.8.

area o sector

area sector/area circle=angle sector/angle circle

aera sector/(pi*r^2)=125/360

find area sector

r=3in so

area sector/(3.14*3^2)=125/360

multily both sides by 3.14*3^2

areasector=(3.14*3^2)125/360

areasector=9.8125 in^2 or 9.8 in^2 rounded
