look at the coefients

coffients of x are -6 and 6, so if we add them together, we can get 0x and cancel them

add the equations

6x+4y=32

-6x+4y=8 +

0x+8y=40

8y=40

divie by 8 both sides

y=5

subsitute back

6x+4y=32

6x+4(5)=32

6x+20=32

6x=12

x=2

the ordered pair in (x,y) form is (2,5)
