The treaty of Ghent ended the war of 1812. It restored the status quo ante bellum as if the war never happened. All conquered terrotories were returned to the original countries at the end of the war. The news of a peace agreement between England and the US took a month to reach the US. During this tiime the battle for New Orleans was fought. Congress ratified the treaty February 17, 1815. The one thing it did not do was acknowledge American sea rights. But impressment of sailors was one of the reasons for the war. After the war the British stopped impressing American sailors because they were no longer needed. The correct answer is A.

The correct answer is D. It provided no territory gain or loss for the united states.

The Treaty of Ghent was a treaty that was signed between the US and the United Kingdom in 1814 and it restored the relations between the nations to quo ante bellum status. Letter D is correct because it was returned to the US about 10 approximately 10,000,000 acres (4,000,000 ha; 40,000 km2) of territory (located in Lakes Superior, Michigan and Maine). Upper Canada areas were returned from the US to British control and Spanish Florida that was American territory was returned to Spanish control.
