Distributive property: a(b+c)=ab+ac

expand form.

do parenthesis first it's got to be remove.

-4x+9=8x-3

subtract by 9 both sides of an equation.

-4x+9-9=8x-3-9

simplify by equation form.

-4x=8x-12

then you subtract by 8x both sides of an equation.

-4x-8x=8x-12-8x

simplify by equation form again.

-12x=-12

therefore, you can also divide by -12 both sides of an equation.

(-12x)/(-12)= (-12)/(-12)

finally, simplify equation.

\boxed{x=1}

Hope this helps!

Thanks!
