If we have a point (3,10), and the slope being 2, we would use that in this equation

y-
y_(1) = m(x-
x_(1))

You would plug in the slope (2) in m, plug 3 in
x_(1), and then you would plug 10 in
y_(1).

You would get y - 10 = 2(x-3)

First you would distribute the 2 to the x and the -3

That will give you y- 10 = 2x-6

Then you would add 10 to both sides because you want the Y to be by itself

y - 10 = 2x- 6 +10 +10

That would get you to y=2x +4

Your answer would be y= 2x+4.
