area = width * length

so 123 = 3 * length

123/3 = length

length = 41

So if the area is 123 cm squared, then you would want to find the width and length. But they already give you the width, 3 cm.

So originally, your equation would be: length times width = Area.

Since we have width and area, the equation now is: length times 3 = 123 cm.

Now we have to solve it backwards, basically meaning to divide 123 by 3 to get the length, which is 41 cm.

Equation is: 3 cm times 41 cm = 123 cm squared.

Hopefully i did this right and got you the answer you were looking for. Good luck and let me know how this helped.
