Apples cost $0.95 per pound. How much would 1.6 pounds of apples cost

Your answer would be $1.52.

The reason why this is your answer because the fact that $0.95 is already a whole, you want want to find what 60% of it is.

60% of $0.95 is $0.57.

So when you add $0.95 (1 whole apple) and $0.57 (60% or .60 of an apple), you would get $1.52, and that would be your answer.
