You use distributive property to solve this. You multiply 3 to both 2x and 1. This would give you 6x+3. So, the answer is 6x+3

to solve 3(2x+1) you need to multiply. so 3 times 2x is 6x and 3 times 1 is 3 making the final answer to be 6x+1
